Rob is a great believer in using music as therapy. Entertaining the elderly and those living with dementia is a skill that should not be taken lightly. Rob has developed a great understanding of group and individual needs and he is already in great demand at many Care Homes in and around Merseyside and the Wirral.
He can be flexible to accommodate the budgetary restrictions of care facilities and will provide his own equipment which is compact and easy to set up.
He provides two different styles of entertainment:
Cabaret: Everything from Andy Williams, Matt Monroe and Frank Sinatra to … Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison and Elvis! From laid back, Swing, nostalgic and smooth right up to dance, lively pop and rock. It’s very interactive.
Singalong: Playing guitar, allowing the residents to sing along; sometimes using lyric sheets or simply singing in a style that helps them to recall the words.
“We welcome Rob every time he comes to our home because we know we are in for a fab afternoon of entertainment, he has charm, charisma and an exceptional way. He entertains and interacts, gets the most audience participation. He has a fan club of residents who constantly ask when he next comes and for the very first time, we got a lady solo singer, which was amazing to see and hear. I also think he’s amazing value for money, as pennies are very tight and we mostly fundraise for extra entertainment. I would most definitely have Rob working at our home every week! Truly a kind caring an excellent entertainer with compassion an total understanding of people with dementia.” – Suzanne Smith, Activities Co-ordinator, BUPA Care Homes
